Update and Shake October 21st 2020

Hey!

Bit of a general house-keeping keep-you-in-the-picture post this, no pained screeds on sciatica or lengthy half-lectures on how to write songs with your eyes closed, just straight, honest factual information delivered with the kind of smile that keeps dentists in business(*1).

a few things (3 and a half, I reckon)

1- the 'this taco is not correct' vinyl campaign will be ending in the next day or so - at about 6am GMT on Thursday if you're a seat-of-the-pants, stunt-buying kinda human - so if you want to pledge get in there soon. I will be getting some extra copies - about 60 in total - for sale to people without credit cards (bandcamp, which usually takes PayPal, doesn't accept them for these campaigns) but, AND I CANNOT EMPHASISE THIS ENOUGH, if you're in the US ordering now will save you about $20 in mailing costs alone, so please, save yourself some money if you're so inclined. Anyway, the whole thing has been a huge success (relative to expectations) and I 'd like to thank everyone who got involved, because vinyl - and it's shipping - are not cheap by any standards. Oh, and by the way, the record may be cut at 33rpm rather than 45rpm - if that bothers anyone (I can't imagine it doing, but still) please, let me know and we can cancel your pledge WITH NO WORRIES WHATSOEVER.

The link is here for the next 20 hours or so - https://christianfitness.bandcamp.com/campaign/this-taco-is-not-correct

2- everyone's favourite can't-sing-for-fucking-toffee 90s indie star Ian Brown has recently become hard-of-thinking too, so I decided, yesterday, to set one of his particularly unhinged rants to music. That can be found here - https://christianfitness.bandcamp.com/track/granny-killaz-ian-brown-cover - but probably won't hang around for too long, it's fucking daft.(*2) Honestly, it longer to source a hi-res picture of an elephant crapping on another elephant than write the song.

3 - we're still working on the mclusky live thing (dvd and cd) but I have no idea when it'll be ready - sorry about that. It'll have the second London Dingwalls show in the package along with a link to download the second Cardiff show too. It's all sounding great, but then again, I would say that.

Think that's about it for now - we're still working on new music for mclusky, future of the left and christian fitness the best we/I can -and doing our best to stay healthy and sane in the middle of this fuck-a-naught of news. Please, take care yourselves. Speak soon.

ps. I've been struggling to get orders out what with my fucked leg/back but they should all be out by Friday at the latest. Thanks for your patience on this, and many other, matters.

(*1) kelson, who was in future of the left for records 1&2 is a dentist now, y'know, and doing bloody well at it. he's still a fucking maniac, mind.

(*2) if you agree with Ian then hey, fair play to you, but I would suggest that a different blog, one with brighter colours, maybe be better suited to your purposes.

  3. Is it still possible to pledge towards this (or are there going to be more copies available)? Waited for ages for this to come along, then totally missed it....fuck :(

Good shout on Ian Brown, along with Liam (or Noel, or both) Gallagher and Morrissey he's now part of a pretty decent collection of Mancunian twat-ness....
